As Tiger Stadium starts to come down hundreds of baseball fans from Metro Detroit and other parts of the county watch the slow demolition of the classic ballpark. Fans stood and talked to each other about their memories from going as a kid with mom or dad to proposing to a girlfriend in the bleachers.

Not much destruction was wrought on Day Three, not that could be seen from the Fisher service drive, anyway. But on Day Four, the demolition crew went to work on the scoreboard in center field. The section that they are tugging on in this video - and that starts to crumble about halfway through the video - would fall later that day. Unfortunately, we weren't there to capture it.
Demolition of one of the most storied arenas in the history of American sports is coming down. Detroit still has a chance to save a corner of The Corner! Donate whatever you can at www.savetigerstadium.org. Every little bit helps! Remember, once it's gone, it's gone forever!
